Looking for a therapist who understands the complexities of relationships and day-to-day life?

I am Leah, a compassionate, down-to-earth, and non-judgmental therapist who adopts a person-centered approach. I approach therapy with my most authentic self, curiosity, and humor. I am a BIPOC and LGBTQ ally. As the spouse of a military veteran, I value providing support to military veterans and their families.

I am passionate about restoring clients' relationship with their body and beliefs about self. I adopt a Health at Every Size (HAES) ® approach to help them ditch diet culture, embrace their intuitive eater, and repair their relationship with their body and food so that they can celebrate themselves.

I am passionate about supporting individuals and families pre/post-natal transitions.

With over 20 years of experience in social services and mental health, I earned my Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from St. Mary’s University and a Bachelor of Arts in Corrections and Sociology from Minnesota State University, Mankato. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused, and Narrative therapies.

Outside the therapy room, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, sitting around a campfire, finding joyful movement through various activities, and walking my dog, Louie. As a busy mom, I understand the struggle in finding and maintaining work/life balance and navigating competing priorities.

I believe that not every therapist is the best fit for every person. If I’m not the therapist for you, that's okay. I am always happy to help you find someone who is.
